Art and a Sandwich to go

Oh geese its that time of year again. I am in this off grid kinda collective show and have been hurriedly working on finishing 8 tiny new pieces for it. I took no photos, sorry, but they are Fan-tas-tic! If your in the area come and check it out if not you can just dream about the strange little art show that this year is happening in a shopping center (still couldn't compare with the Dance Performance I once gave in a Pizza Hut).

Cheers
Cathy :)

Holloweenie

So, here are some of the things that I have finished just in time for NEXT Halloween. All the pumpkins are paper clay and the Cemetery Folk are polymer clay on wood bases painted by ME.
Sometimes you just need to let the art flow timing be damned.
Safe and fun Halloween wishes to every body.
Enjoy!

YUCK, GRR, UMM, UGH.

It’s very sad how my job interferes with my life. Yet again I find my self wishing for the fairy godmother of arts and crafts to appear with unlimited supplies, a studio space along with sweet and friendly animal helpers and all the enthusiasm she can muster, a private grant wouldn’t hurt either.

Speaking of faeries, the Nicotine one is not aloud around here anymore and with my luck I will be visited by the fairy godmother of grammar and run-on sentences instead, you can’t win them all.

Here is some work in progress, I really would like to finish before next Halloween.

Felting Sunday

Well I took another poke at needle felting and things didn't go so well. ITS A RABBIT! At least that's what it is suppose to be. It looks more like a Chihuahua and a cat made a baby lol. Well you can't win them all... at least its cute.

Cheers

The wee Pig

I took a needle felting class (one day) It was fun and easy except one thing (scratch, scratch, scratch) I am allergic to wool. Curses! It was still fun and I made this wee pig.

one more thing

I think maybe, someday, a tattoo is called for, a hidden raven. Where would you hide your raven?

I am loving it

I feel that the head study I have been working on, is actually getting me moving ahead and out of my own!!!

These are some of my new beginnings

They are all hand builds, no push molds, just what pops out of my head. They are all polymer clay , I am finding my favorites to be Cernit (though difficult to come by in New Mexico) and Fimo Puppen (its very workable and I don't get as much mooning from it) I love the look of Kato (so waxy) but the mooning is awful, maybe it is because it is so dry here?

I look forward to the painting so much, I think its my favorite part, kinda
like drawing a coloring book just so you can color it!

Well, here we go. I really set this up so I can post images of my work somewhere on the interwebs. I am hoping to motivate myself, yup any minute now. I am starting to think blogging.. probably not the best thing for a girl who can't spell or type worth a crap.

This is one of my older dolls "the tall guy" made of polymer clay and wood, clothing is fabric.
